Schedule Zoom mtg to Record Your Session

How to prepare: 
As you would for any webinar – have your presentation ready, good lighting, low-noise / good internet, etc. 

What if I can’t find a time slot that works?
Reach out to peter@greatgrowalong.com. We are opening up a few more slots, and extending the hours, EOD 2/17.

Video Quality & Format

Aspect Ratio
Please record/produce in landscape 16:9 format. If you have portrait b-roll, such as clips from Instagram, feel free to insert those, but the overall format must remain 16:9.  

Recording Quality
Please use the highest quality setting, regardless of camera. 

  • If you record with us in Zoom, we’ll record your session in 1080p, which is desired. 
  • If you record a demonstration or in your garden, make sure your camera is set to the highest possible resolution.
  • If you record yourself in Zoom, please make sure to go into Video / Settings, and check the “HD Video” checkbox.
How do I provide you my assets?

Two options: 

  1. Provide us with a link to your Dropbox, G Drive, etc. 
  2. Reach out to peter@greatgrowalong.com and request we put up a Google Drive for you

How does the Live Q&A Work?

Your pre-recorded session will be followed by a 15-20 minute Live Q&A session. Here’s how it works: 

  1. 2-3 days before the your session airs, you’ll get a Panelist Invitation from Zoom. It will include a link and the time.
  2. We ask that you join us 10-15 minutes before your session starts.
  3. While your pre-recorded session is playing, you and the host are able to talk freely, while still keeping an eye on the session and the audience chat. The host will identify the best audience questions to use and discuss with you. 
  4. When your pre-recorded session concludes, you and the host will be moved into the live area for the 15-20 minute conversation.

Please participate in the Live Q&A from a quiet area, with a good internet connection. You do not need to bring anything other than your expertise!

Do I need to insert GGA logos, nametags, etc?

You do not. We’ll edit those in, even for those who self-produce. 

Tips on Formatting Your Slides
  1. Too many bullet points, and/or too many words in each, makes it difficult for the viewer to read it. Break out over multiple slides instead. 
  2. Do NOT use a template with unnecessary design elements, such as a thick frames, animation effects, etc. Focus on your words and pictures. 
  3. Make sure the presentation is in 16:9 landscape format (almost all tools have this as default, but best to check)
Deadlines

We will need your session recorded or provided to us at least 3 days prior to the day your session airs, preferably more.
